The Northern Neck Land Conservancy is pleased to announce that Executive Director Lisa Biever has joined Virginia’s United Land Trusts’ board of directors. Known as VaULT, the statewide organization’s mission is to magnify and amplify land conservation efforts and achieve widespread protection of the Commonwealth’s natural, cultural, and scenic resources, ensuring their long-term benefits for all Virginians.
Lisa joined the Northern Neck Land Conservancy in 2021. “I’m honored to join the dedicated conservationists leading VaULT,” she said. “This service position will be a wonderful opportunity to bring ideas and resources from around Virginia back to the landowners of the Northern Neck and Essex County.”
With the dedicated staff and volunteer board of the Land Conservancy, Lisa provides landowners and conservation-minded folks with resources and support to protect the region’s open space land, which is vital to its economies and culture. Joining the VaULT board of directors aligns with the organization’s work locally and its commitment to conserving land in Virginia.
Everyone can join in conserving the lands, water, economies and culture of the Northern Neck and Essex County. Visit nnconserve.org to learn more about creating a conservation easement, making a donation and other ways to become involved with the Northern Neck Land Conservancy.
