Boots and Barbecue 2026
October 3, 2026 | 1 – 4 PM | Lawson Bay Farm, White Stone, VA
Boots and Barbecue is a celebration of all the things that drive Northern Neck Land Conservancy’s commitment to protecting working farms, waters and woodlands in our region. Each year the event is held in one of the five Northern Neck counties or Essex on the Middle Peninsula – and always on an acreage that is permanently protected by a conservation easement.

The Robison Family are opening their historic home at beautiful Lawson Bay Farm for all of us this year at Boots and Barbecue. 🏡
The rich history of Lawson Bay Farm will be a main feature of this year`s event thanks to tours of the expanded colonial home and a demonstration by the @steamboateramuseum on the life of Captain Hansford Bayton, a successful African American businessman and steamboat captain who once owned the property.
