Make a Memorial Gift

Honor the memory of a friend or loved one who appreciated the open lands, farms and forests of the Northern Neck. Memorial gifts may be made individually or suggested by the family of the deceased. Please provide the NNLC with the contact information of who we should notify of the gift made in the deceased’s honor.

Celebrate Someone!

Honor a birthday, wedding, anniversary, celebrate a life transition, or honor a special person by making an honorary gift. To make an honorary gift just enclose a note with your gift explaining who you wish to honor, the occasion (if applicable), and the name and address of the individual or next of kin to be notified of your gift.

Donation of Stock Investment

Stock gifts of appreciated stock can yield tax benefits to you by avoiding capital gains tax and provide financial support to the Northern Neck Land Conservancy. To give a gift of stock by electronic transfer, simply tell your investment broker what stock you would like to give. Instruct your broker to call Sherry Germain or Jessica Thomas at Davenport & Company in White Stone, VA. (804-435-7705 or 800-378-2165). They will be able to provide you with instructions for your gift to NNLC. It is important to also inform the Northern Neck Land Conservancy about your gift so that your gift can be properly acknowledged.

Give a Gift of Land or Property

Our land trust can accept gifts of farmland, waterfront and forestland property to help further its conservation protection efforts. Contact the NNLC office at 804-250-2334 for more information on how your gift of land can help us to promote land conservation and acquire funding to support our mission

Planned Giving – Make a Legacy Gift

One of the greatest ways you can help protect the Northern Neck is to support NNLC’s work beyond your lifetime. Planned gifts make that possible. Make a legacy gift through your will or arrange a life income gift such as a charitable remainder trust (CRT), charitable gift annuity, or life insurance policy. You can also make a big difference in our land protection efforts by naming NNLC as a beneficiary in your life insurance, 401(k) Plans, IRA or other retirement plan. This is easy to do and is a great way of reducing your possible estate taxes. Just call us for information or contact your personal advisor for more information.
